About event organiser
Shama Ethnic Women's Trust provides specialist support for those experiencing violence, taking a holistic approach to the needs of women, their children and families. Shama is also a community hub for hundreds of ethnic families in the Kirirkiriroa | Hamilton area, providing peer-to-peer support for ethnic women through their regular crafts, cooking, and parent support classes.

The deadline for registration has been extended to Sunday 24 August 2025.
Shama is inviting ethnic youth aged 13–24 to attend a full-day hui on Saturday August 30th in Tāmaki Makaurau | Auckland. It will be a space to connect, reflect, and spark bold, youth-led ideas around preventing family and sexual violence in ethnic communities.
