About the event

For more information and to register, visit the event page

Tāngata whaikaha Māori and all disabled people have a right to be safe and to live well but their Tiriti and human rights are being breached by the high rates of violence and abuse they experience  against them.

Te Kāhui Tika Tangata Human Rights Commission is committed to working with disabled people and agencies in creating systems of support and safety.

Join the Disability Rights Commissioner and the family violence, sexual violence and disability sectors for a conversation about inclusive and accessible violence prevention and response.

Disability Rights Commissioner Prudence Walker will host the panel of speakers from across these sectors. Panellists information will be shared when speakers are confirmed.

There will be opportunity for audience questions in the final part of the webinar with a  short moderated Q and A session.

NZSL and live captioning will be available. A captioned recording will be shared on our YouTube channel and through social media after the event.
