This introductory training prepares attendees to respond appropriately and safely to people experiencing family violence. The session will introduce attendees to an understanding of the impact family violence has on adults and children and of the complexity of family violence and its effects on a person’s dignity and wellbeing. Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People is seeking feedback on the draft New Zealand Disability Strategy 2026-2030. Feedback will inform the shape of the final strategy, which will then go to Cabinet for approval. You can read the draft strategy in plain text, NZSL, audio format, braille, easy read, and large print.

Whaikaha have organised a number of in person and online events throughout September at which people can learn more about the draft Strategy and provide feedback. Feedback can also be given via online form and video submission.

  • Increase their confidence to answer curious questions
