Ministry of Social Development releases evaluation of Budget 2019 investment in sexual violence support services
Te Manatū Whakahiato Ora | Ministry of Social Development (MSD) has released their evaluations of Budget 19 investment in sexual violence support services. The evaluation reports were the result of a multi-year work programme undertaken by MSD to understand the difference that the Budget 2019 investment made. Budget 19 allocated $90.3 million to MSD to improve the sexual violence support system. The full list of reports can be found on MSD's website.
Ministry of Justice seeking feedback on draft Long-Term Insights Briefing
Te Tāhū o te Ture | Ministry of Justice are seeking feedback on their draft Long-Term Insights Briefing (LTIB). The topic of this briefing is “the future operation of the courts and justice services” and was developed in consultation with the public. A copy of the draft Briefing and a summary document is available alongside information on how to make a submission. Submissions are due by 5pm, Sunday 9 November 2025.
Māori Futures Programme 2026 PhD Scholarships open for applications
The Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga (NPM) Māori Futures Programme is now accepting applications for their 2026 PhD scholarship. The programme focuses on developing the next generation of Māori research leaders who can set and pursue impactful research that contributes to building a flourishing future for Māori. The scholarship provides financial assistance through a non-taxable stipend and ongoing support through the NPM Māori Futures Programme. More information on scholarship eligibility, duration, value and application process can be found on the Scholarships webpage. Applications are due 5pm, Monday 10 November 2025.
