Tainui and Judge discuss ways to prevent children from going into state care

District Court Judge Carolyn Henwood says she has met with Tainui to discuss their vision that no Tainui children will go into state care. She has met with the iwi to discuss how it may provide its own welfare. Judge Henwood chairs the Confidential Listening and Assistance Service, which is dealing with people who allege abuse or neglect during their time in state care.
