Minister of Justice Simon Power announced last week that a stock take of sexual violence services by Minister of Social Development Paula Bennett is currently underway. The terms of reference for the stock take are due to be announced soon, culminating in a full report due by the end of 2010. The aim of the stock take is to build on the work of Te Ohaaki a Hine – National Network for Ending Sexual Violence Together (TOAH-NNEST) by establishing what current services are receiving government funding, developing projections of what the current and long term demands for services will be, identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness and considering future funding options.
