$1 Million Boost to Sexual Violence Services Announced

Minister of Justice Simon Power has announced $1 million of extra funding to sexual violence prevention education programmes over the next two years.This announcement was made during the opening address of last week's conference ‘Working with Sexual Abuse - a community solution to a community problem’ in Auckland. Minister Power also announced that the Minister of Social Development, Hon Paula Bennett and her Associate Minister, Hon Tariana Turia will join Minister Power in leading the government's work on sexual violence.
